trip to Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis?

i’m planning a trip to all three places at a time. thinking to fly to one of these places and then take the road trip across them. how many days should we spend at each location? where should we fly to first? what’s the attraction at each place? thanks.

    Fly into Detroit…Go from Detroit to Indy to Chicago…

    Spend 3 days in Indianapolis; 5 days in both the Detroit area (Windsor, ON [get those passports/pass cards if you don't have them!] and Dearborn) and Chicago…
